The Alford Forest Rd complex of KB Irrigation really is a one stop shop for everything needed when it comes to irrigation. The dedicated team undertakes work throughout the South Island, designing, implementing, installing and servicing irrigation systems. While they have exclusive agencies for several of the top brands of irrigation systems, they are capable of servicing all irrigators irrespective of the brand.
KB Irrigation's core business is in Canterbury and Otago and their strong presence in North Otago led to the opening of a branch in Oamaru in February 2005.
The company provides a total package when it comes to irrigation design, supply, servicing and installation and there are very few companies that can offer the range of products that KB Irrigation can provide.
The range includes Pierce centre pivots and linear irrigators. These machines have been manufactured in the United States for over 30 years and have a sound track record throughout the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Pierce manufacture two basic models, the CP600 which is a full sized, bow string design machine and the smaller “AcreMaster” machine which utilises a warren truss design. The AcreMaster is an ideal machine for a smaller block or as a towable Centre Pivot.
In addition to this, there is a choice of tower heights to clear obstructions and a variety of other options to suit the client and the topography of the property. The company also imports Marani hard hose irrigators direct from the manufacturer in Italy. Marani manufacture Hard Hose Guns from 40mm to 150mm Hose Diameter with hose runs from 110 metres to 750 metres. Marani also offer a fixed boom option as an alternative to a Gun.
The Trailco name is well known within the irrigation industry and KB has been the sole importer of these irrigators from Australia since 1991. The Trailco range includes the small T50 travelling irrigator for smaller blocks and parks, to the T450 which is a large gun irrigator capable of irrigating a 600 metre run. Trailco also manufacture a wide range of boom irrigators, from 50 to 85m, ideal for cropping situations.
The company's reputation has grown rapidly over the past few years with the successful installation of many large scale systems such as Horse Gully, Black Point, Ridge Road and the Kokoamo irrigation pipeline. The firm's expertise lies in setting up reliable, appropriate systems where valving and pump control have posed technical challenges.
For those with smaller but no less important needs, KB Irrigation's Domestic Pump Showroom, located next to their offices on Alford Forest Road, has everything for the day to day running of small and large pumps as well as friendly, helpful staff who can find the right solution for your requirements.
The Company has recently opened a branch in Oamaru to service the North Otago, Waitaki Valley and Central Otago regions. |
